Back for more! We felt this restaurant deserved a continued full 5 stars, since every bite today has been every bit as good as our last visit. Today we add the Power Plant to the list of things tried and enjoyed. When it came to the table, it appeared to be a small-to-moderate bowl of spinach with pulse, legumes, nuts and sliced asparagus scattered around the edges. A tiny mound of quinoa and a sliced avocado appeared to be garnishing the dish. This was a blatant misrepresentation of the true generosity of this meal.
For starters, the depth and breadth of the bowl are greater than they appear. That tiny mound of quinoa I mentioned? It's just the tip of a mountain holding down a forest of spinach, and hiding an avalanche of pulses and legumes.
The dressing is also a surprise, being light, bright, and tart without any of the sweetness usually used to tame vinegrettes. It's the perfect compliment to both meld and enhance the earthy flavors of the salad. I couldn't stop stuffing my face even to answer when our server stopped by to check on whether we enjoyed the meal. Fortunately the thumbs-up gesture translates well. I handed my salad to Raz, having only managed about 1/3 before feeling completely full. He managed another 1/3, and the last 1/3 will be a midnight snack!
