Taj Mahal lunch buffet was my first experience of Indian food longer ago than I care to remember. Had Yelp been around back in that era, this would have been a review much more tightly packed with wonder and flowery language. Alas, this is 2018, and I have tried so many new and exciting things that the novelty and wonder have faded. 

Mind you, Taj Mahal has solid service, a clean and organized dining room, and generally tasty food. 3 stars is "A-OK," and that's exactly our experience. Our expectations were met exactly by efficient staff and flavorful food. The cost was no higher or lower than expectation. 

This is likely why Taj Mahal is still my first suggestion for Indian food in Albuquerque. They provide a reliable experience, always meet expectation, and have changed very little since my long ago first visit.
