Sababa

Gainesville, FL

February 15, 2019

We wandered in on a dark night after a not insignificant drive  across northern Florida.

We didn't quite recognize  all the items on the menu, considering we don't have a single Israeli restaurant back home. As I like shawarma, but I've never had a vegetarian version, that's where my appetite led me. We also ordered the hummus with za'tar, and a dish I didn't quite recognize that involved lamb.

Let me just state that my life was incomplete before this meal, and I will never look at vegetables the same way again. I will also crave za'tar every day until I can finally have it again.
